Pressac wireless temperature sensors measure ambient temperature using ultra-low-power wireless technology and transmit readings via the EnOcean protocol. Our temperature sensors are solar-powered with optional battery back-up for low-light conditions, requiring no wiring and minimal ongoing maintenance.
Pressac temperature sensors use the EnOcean wireless protocol, transmitting securely using AES-128 encryption across licence-free ISM bands (for example 868 MHz in Europe). Data can be collected locally or integrated into cloud platforms via gateways supporting MQTT, AWS IoT Core, or Azure IoT Hub.
Standard wireless temperature sensors typically measure from 0°C to 40°C with an accuracy of approximately ±0.5°C in normal room conditions (17–27°C) and up to ±1°C outside that range.
For optimal readings, the sensor should be placed away from direct heat sources (radiators, vents) and strong air movement. Solar-only versions require exposure to ambient light for energy harvesting; variants with battery back-up are recommended for low-light interiors.
Yes. Sensor data can be accessed in a variety of ways including direct cloud integration (via MQTT to Azure, AWS etc.), local networks, or through custom software platforms. The solution is system-agnostic, supporting flexible integration into existing BMS or analytics platforms.
No. Pressac does not charge recurring subscription fees for sensor data access. You can pull data directly via your chosen platform, gateway or cloud integration without ongoing costs from Pressac.
Standard sensors transmit readings dynamically:
- If temperature changes by more than 0.5°C, they send an immediate update.
- Otherwise, they transmit at regular intervals (commonly every 15 minutes).
Yes. The wireless protocol supports AES-128 encryption, and secure communication modes can be configured where supported by receiving devices.
Maintenance for our temperature sensors is minimal. Battery-backup versions may need replacement after several years, but our sensors are factory-calibrated and do not require routine recalibration.
