How our environmental sensors work

Our wireless multi-sensors measure and monitor the ambient air quality and thermal conditions in each room or zone within a building. The small, solar-powered sensors use ultra-low power wireless and battery-less technology, making them easy to install and very low maintenance.

Features

  • Small, discreet sensors simply stick to the wall
  • Measures ambient carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature and relative humidity:
    • CO2 0-2550PPM (accuracy +/- 125PPM)
    • Temperature 0-51ºC (accuracy +/- 0.5ºC)
    • Humidity 0-100% RH (accuracy +/- 5%)
  • Reports every 5 minutes when solar-powered or 15 minutes
    when battery-powered.
  • Solar-powered using ambient room light – optimally angled
to absorb light – with a battery back-up for periodic
low-light conditions. Batteries typically last up to 10 years
  • Transmit data wirelessly and securely – using AES-128 encryption – via EnOcean wireless protocol, which uses internationally approved, licence-free ISM bands
    • 868 MHz for Europe (RED)
    • 902 MHz for North America (FCC) and Canada (IC)
    • 928 MHz for Japan (ARIB specification)
  • Manufactured in the UK to high-quality and high-safety specifications, they are subject to rigorous testing procedures.
  • Dimensions: 115 x 80 x 35 mm (approx)
  • Packaging unit: single (min. 25 pcs)

Easily integrate real-time data with your existing systems

Access and visualise real-time environmental data

Because our technology is platform agnostic, the data from our sensors can be used in any way you need. For example, integrate our environmental sensors with your energy management system to identify waste and understand the most efficient ways to use heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Or control HVAC by integrating air quality and thermal data into your Building Management System to maintain a comfortable environment in each room or zone based on live conditions.

Integrate data into
any software or IoT platform

Data can be sent locally or to the cloud using our smart gateway. Access data in real-time through MQTT, IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure or AWS loT

connect-controllers-icon

Connect directly to
smart devices

Our sensors can interact directly with actuators, allowing you to automate local control systems
