3 measurements with a single sensor

Accurate condition updates every 5-15 minutes

Designed for fitting at head height to ensure accurate air quality readings. The sensor sends data every 5 minutes when solar-powered or 15 minutes when battery-powered.

Low maintenance with zero cables

The sensors use ambient room light – natural or lighting – for power, with a backup battery power source giving you continual operation in the evening.

Real-time local or cloud data

Data can be sent securely to a local network or the cloud — via Ethernet, LTE (4G) or WiFi through an MQTT broker or ready connections to AWS and Microsoft Azure. No subscriptions or recurring fees.

CO2, Temperature & Humidity Sensor FAQs

What do your CO2, temperature and humidity sensors measure?

These sensors monitor three key indoor conditions:

  • Carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels: 0–2550 ppm with ±125 ppm accuracy.
  • Temperature: 0–51 °C with ±0.5 °C accuracy.
  • Relative humidity: 0–100% RH with ±5% accuracy.

These combined readings provide a full picture of indoor air quality and comfort levels.

Why is it important to measure CO₂, temperature and humidity together?

These three factors work hand-in-hand to define indoor comfort and wellbeing. High CO2 levels signal poor ventilation, while temperature and humidity affect comfort, health, and even equipment performance. Monitoring all three ensures commercial spaces remain safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient.

How accurate are the sensor readings?

The sensor is designed for reliable commercial use and provides readings within the below ranges:

  • CO₂ readings within ±125 ppm.
  • Temperature within ±0.5 °C.
  • Humidity within ±5%.

This level of accuracy ensures data you can trust for decision-making around ventilation and building management.

How is the sensor powered?

The device uses ultra-low power and energy harvesting technology with:

  • A built-in solar cell to harvest energy from ambient room light.
  • A lithium backup battery (3.6 V A-size) for low-light conditions. Battery life is up to 10 years, depending on light availability and reporting frequency.
How often does the sensor transmit data?
  • Solar powered mode: sends readings every 5 minutes.
  • Battery backup mode: sends readings every 15 minutes to conserve power. This ensures reliable monitoring while optimising power efficiency.
How does the sensor transmit environmental data?

Our CO2, Temperature and Humidity sensors use the EnOcean wireless protocol (EEP: A5-09-04) and can transmit data up to 30 metres indoors and up to 300 metres in open space, allowing flexible deployment across different building types without Wi-Fi or hardwiring.

Does the sensor require calibration or maintenance?

The sensor features automatic CO₂ calibration every 8 days to maintain accuracy. Manual calibration is also possible via the DIP switch and “learn” button. Thanks to the solar-assisted power and low-maintenance design, ongoing upkeep is minimal.

How easy is the sensor to install?

The sensor is compact (115 × 80 × 35 mm), discreet, and supplied with a wall-mounting backplate. Installation requires no complex wiring, and the sensor begins transmitting measurements within seconds once fitted and powered on.

Can the sensor data be integrated with building management or IoT systems?

Yes. Data is transmitted securely via the EnOcean wireless protocol and accessed through a Pressac Smart Gateway. The data transmitted by our sensors can be integrated into platforms such as MQTT, Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, IBM Watson IoT, and Google Sheets, giving you complete flexibility with no vendor lock-in.

Can multiple sensors be used across larger buildings or sites?

Yes. The sensors are designed for scalable deployments, from individual rooms to entire campuses. Data from multiple devices can be centralised and analysed in real time, helping to monitor air quality and comfort across diverse spaces.

Do the sensors help with building compliance and wellbeing standards?

Yes. Due to their simultaneous monitoring of CO2, temperature and humidity, our sensors can support compliance with building regulations, energy efficiency frameworks, and wellbeing standards such as WELL or RESET, making them valuable for both facilities management and employee health.

Are there subscription fees or ongoing charges?

No. There are no hidden costs or platform lock-ins. You remain in control of your data, and the sensors can integrate with your chosen platforms without mandatory subscription fees.

How do our CO2, temperature & humidity sensors work?

Our technology is system agnostic, the data from our sensors can be used in any way you need. There are different options to choose from, making it easy to get your data in the way that’s right for you.
