Accurate energy monitoring at circuit, zone and machine level
Our LoRaWAN® CT Clamps provide accurate electrical current data that can be used to enhance energy management systems as well as IoT and smart building platforms. With the capability to deliver circuit-level visibility of current flow across machines, zones or electrical infrastructure, our sensors enable platforms to capture reliable energy data across complex environments.
Ideal for multi-site energy monitoring, our clip-on current sensors are easy to install without interrupting electrical supply, simply clipping around cables. Data is transmitted wirelessly via the LoRaWAN® wireless protocol which uses internationally approved, license-free ISM bands.
The sensors are self-powered, harvesting ultra-low energy directly from the electrical current they measure. This removes the need for batteries or external power supplies, supporting long-term, low-maintenance deployments within energy monitoring and smart building systems.

Designed for reliable current monitoring and data delivery
High-frequency current measurement
Capture accurate AC current data at regular intervals. Our CT Clamps measure AC current (50Hz or 60Hz) every 30 seconds, providing granular electrical telemetry from circuits, zones or individual machines.
Wireless, self-powered deployment
Energy-harvesting technology powers the sensors using ultra-low energy from the measured conductor, eliminating the need for batteries or external wiring and enabling fast, non-intrusive installation.
Secure data transmission to local or cloud platforms
Current data is transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN® to gateways and onward to local networks or cloud platforms, enabling seamless integration with energy management and IoT systems.
LoRaWAN® CT Clamps FAQs
A LoRaWAN CT Clamp is a wireless current sensor that measures AC electrical current on a single conductor. It clips directly around a cable without interrupting power, transmitting current data via the LoRaWAN network for real-time energy monitoring.
The wireless current sensors (CT) clip around individual cables to detect the alternating current (AC) flowing through the conductor. It then harvests a small amount of energy from the measured current to power itself and transmits data wirelessly over LoRaWAN to your gateway or cloud platform.
Yes. These sensors are energy-harvesting and battery-free, meaning they draw the small amount of power they need from the conductor they are monitoring, removing the need for external power or battery replacement.
1A–60A (±0.1A, ±2%)
2A–200A (±0.1A, ±2.5%)
2A–600A (±1A, ±3%)
They measure AC current at 50Hz or 60Hz and report averages every 30 seconds for near real-time visibility.
Data is sent securely via the LoRaWAN protocol, a long-range, low-power wireless network. It can be routed to local gateways, on-premise systems, or cloud platforms.
LoRaWAN allows long-range transmission — typically several kilometers outdoors and hundreds of meters within buildings, depending on network setup, walls, and other obstructions.
Yes. By monitoring energy consumption at the circuit, zone, or machine level, these sensors help identify inefficiencies, abnormal loads, and energy waste, enabling targeted energy-saving measures.
They are non-intrusive and quick to install. Simply clip the sensor around a conductor, mount the wireless transmitter outside the panel, and connect it to the LoRaWAN network. No system downtime is required.
No, the energy-harvesting, battery-free design makes them virtually maintenance-free, eliminating battery replacement and minimising operational costs over time.
