Process and Development Engineer - PCB Assembly  

C25,000 - 30,000pa (depending on experience) + private medical insurance + competitive pension

Responsible for: Maintenance and optimisation of the circuit processing machinery and supporting the New Product Introduction process.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  1. Maintain all circuit process machinery
  2. Investigate and implement optimisation of the circuit machinery.
  3. General Knowledge of IPC 610
  4. Support the NPI process by providing tooling for manufacture.
  5. Develop plans and documentation to allow smooth new product introduction
  6. Support continuous improvement in respect to equipment and processes, ensuring the correct balance between cost, quality and output
  7. Provide day to day technical assistance within the assembly areas
  8. Maintain accurate data on the Company’s MRP system (Focus)
  9. Ensure that safe working practices are in place, documented and always adhered to

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND APTITUDES

  • ONC in Production Engineering or other relevant subject such as Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Substantial experience in PCB manufacturing, including some experience in the introduction of new products
  • Capacity to thrive in a demanding and dynamic environment and meet project deadlines
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to prioritise own work and work flexibly
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safety conscious
